വര്‍ഷങ്ങളായി പെരുമഴക്കാലങ്ങളില്‍ വാലും തുമ്പും മാത്രം കേട്ട് കേട്ട് പലര്‍ക്കും മടുത്ത വിഷയം തന്നെയാണ് മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര്‍. അന്‍പത് കൊല്ലം മാത്രം ആയുസ്സ് പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഡാം ഒരു ഭീമമായ അബദ്ധം പോലെയുള്ള 999 വര്‍ഷത്തെ കരാറിന്റെ പേരില്‍ ഇരട്ടിയിലധികം വര്‍ഷത്തിനു ശേഷവും ഒരു ജനാധിപത്യരാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെ ഒരു വിഭാഗം ജനങ്ങളുടെ ജീവനു തന്നെ ഭീക്ഷണിയായി മറ്റൊരു വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ തല്‍ക്കാലികമായ ലാഭത്തിനു വേണ്ടി നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നു.

Can't we bring together all the bits & pieces of information scattered in different blogs/sites into a single article here using our collective effort? I am proposing a structure for the article as follows.
History (about agreement, etc)
Facts (whose water, technology used for construction and life of dam, TN's benefits, Kerala's loss – including scarcity of water in Idukki during summer for power generation, cost of water diverted compared to the cost paid for Kavery waters, unrealistic figure of Probable Maximum Flood (PMF) Value by Central Water Commission (CWC), etc)
Issues involved (safety of dam, consequences in the event of dam collapse, similar dam collapses in history, unpredictable nature of recent rains - mentioning impact of the release of water from the Aliyar dam in TN and the subsequent breach of Moolathara dam in Palakkad district, possibility & risk of earthquakes, etc)
Arguments by TN and reality (Arguments vs. reality in a tabular form)
Solution
This issue can be resolved politically. If both govt. agree that a new dam can be constructed and new contract can be entered into giving sufficient water to Tamilnadu, the issue will be solved forever. (shall be elaborated)

ഞാന്‍ നേരത്തേ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചത് പോലെ തമിഴ്നാടിന്റെ വാദങ്ങള്‍/കുപ്രചരണങ്ങള്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കി അതിന്റെ നിജസ്ഥിതി തുറന്നു കാണിച്ചുവെങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ നമ്മുടെ ശ്രമം വിജയിക്കുകയുള്ളു. ഇതിനായി തമിഴ് മീഡിയയില്‍ വരുന്ന വാര്‍ത്തകളും, തമിഴ് ‘മക്കളു‘ടെ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങളും സ്വരൂപിച്ച് അതിന്റെയൊക്കെ യാഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യം കണ്ടുപിടിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
അതു പോലെ തന്നെ വളരെ effective ആയ ഒരു ലേഖനം (കാട് കയറാതെ, പരമാവധി വസ്തുതകള്‍ ചേര്‍ത്ത്) തയ്യാറാക്കിയാല്‍ ഈ വിഷയത്തെ കുറിച്ച് ശക്തമായി (മലയാളികള്‍ക്കിടയിലും) അഭിപ്രായം സ്വരൂപിക്കാമെന്ന് കരുത്തുന്നു.

അത്തരത്തില്‍ ഒരു ലേഖനത്തിനായുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട് അണിയറയില്‍ . ഒന്നുരണ്ടുപേര്‍ പഠിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
എല്ലാ മലയാളം ബ്ലോഗേര്‍സും മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര്‍ ലോഗോ/വിഡ്ജെറ്റ് സ്വന്തം ബ്ലോഗില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തണം ‘സേവ് കേരള’ ബ്ലോഗില്‍ എല്ലാവരും ഒരു ഭീമഹര്‍ജിയില്‍ ഒപ്പിടുന്നെന്ന പോലെ ഫോളോവേര്‍സ് ആകണം, ഐക്യദാര്‍ഢ്യം പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കണം. കൂടുതല്‍ പേര്‍ ഈ വിഷയം അറിയാനുള്ള സാഹചര്യം ഉണ്ടാക്കണം. അതിനൊക്കെയുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാവരുടേയും ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
ലോഗോയില്‍ “BLOGGERS' MOVEMENT“ എന്ന് പോരെ? മലയാളം എഴുതാത്ത/ മലയാളികളല്ലാത്ത ബ്ലോഗ്ഗര്‍മ്മാരുടെയും പിന്തുണ നേടിയെടുക്കണം.

ശരിക്കും പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ ‘ബ്ലോഗേഴ്സ് മൂവ്മെന്റ് ‘ എന്നും ആവശ്യമില്ല. ഇതൊരു മലയാളി മൂവ്മെന്റല്ലേ ശരിക്കും ? പക്ഷെ അതിന് തുടക്കമിടുന്നത് നമ്മള്‍ ബ്ലോഗേഴ്സ് എന്ന നിലയ്ക്കാണ് മലയാളം ബ്ലോഗേഴ്സ് മൂവ്മെന്റ് എന്ന് എഴുതിയത്. മലയാളത്തിന് പുറത്തേക്കും വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കണം എന്ന നമസ്ക്കാരിന്റെ നല്ല ലക്ഷ്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നു. പക്ഷെ ഈ ലോഗോ പലരും ഇതിനകം ബ്ലോഗുകളില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞതുകാരണം എല്ലാവരേയും കണ്ടുപിടിച്ച് തിരുത്താന്‍ അല്‍പ്പം ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുണ്ടാകും എന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കുമല്ലോ ?

ഒരു അഭിപ്രായം പറഞ്ഞുവെന്നേയുള്ളു. ബാങ്ലൂര്‍/കന്നട ബ്ലോഗ്ഗര്‍മ്മാരെ നമ്മോടൊപ്പം നിര്‍ത്താന്‍ കഴിയുമെന്നാണ് ഞാന്‍ കരുതുന്നത്. :)
ഇതിനകം ബ്ലോഗുകളില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞതുകാരണം
ലോഗോ കോപ്പിചെയ്ത് പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമേ മാറ്റേണ്ടതുള്ളു, rebuilddam ബ്ലൊഗില്‍ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന html ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് പ്രശ്നമാവില്ല.
